Personal Data
We only collect personal data that is necessary for the performance and processing of our legal services or that you have voluntarily provided us with.
Personal data is any data containing individual details about personal or factual circumstances, such as name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, date of birth, age, sex, social security number, video recordings, photos, voice recordings of persons as well as biometric data such as fingerprints. Sensitive data, such as health data or data relating to criminal proceedings, may also be included.
Information and Deletion
You have the right to information, about your stored personal data, its origin and recipient and the purpose of the data processing as well as the right to correction, data transfer, objection, restriction of processing and blocking or deletion of incorrect or inadmissibly processed data at any time, subject to the obligation of legal confidentiality.
If there are any changes to your personal data, please inform us accordingly.
You have the right to revoke your consent to the use of your personal data at any time. Your request for information, deletion, correction, objection and/or data transfer, in the latter case, provided that this does not involve a disproportionate effort, can be sent to the address provided below in our contact details.
If you are of the opinion that the processing of your personal data by us violates the applicable data protection law or your data protection rights have been violated in any other way, you may file a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority. In Austria, the responsible agency would be the Austrian Data Protection Authority.
Data Security
Your personal data is protected by appropriate organizational and technical precautions that protect against unauthorized, illegal or even accidental access, processing, loss, use and manipulation of your data.
Notwithstanding our efforts to maintain an appropriately high level of due diligence at all times, it cannot be ruled out that information that you disclose to us via the Internet may be viewed and used by third parties.
Please note that we therefore accept no liability whatsoever if information is disclosed as a result of errors in data transmission not caused by us and/or unauthorized access by third parties (e.g. hack attack on e-mail account or telephone, messages via mobile devices, interception of fax messages).
Use of the Data
We will not process the data made available to us for purposes other than those covered within the engagement letter or by your consent or otherwise by a provision in accordance with the GDPR. An exception to this is the use for statistical purposes, provided that the data provided has been anonymized.
Transmission of Data to Third Parties
In order to address your enquiry, it may also be necessary to pass on your data to third parties (e.g. opposing parties, substitutes, insurance companies, banks, service providers which we use and to whom we make data available, courts, offices, authorities, etc.). Your data will be forwarded exclusively on the basis of the GDPR, in particular to fulfil your enquiry and/or on the basis of your prior consent.
Furthermore, we would like to inform you that we regularly obtain factual and case-related information about you from third parties as part of our legal representation and support.
Some of the above-mentioned recipients of your personal data are located outside your country or process your personal data there. The level of data protection in other countries may not correspond to that of Austria. However, we only transfer your personal data to countries that the EU Commission has decided have an adequate level of data protection or we take measures to ensure that all recipients adhere to an adequate level of data protection, for which purpose we conclude standard contractual clauses (2010/87/EC and/or 2004/915/EC).
Notification of Data Breaches
We make every effort to ensure that data breaches are detected at an early stage and, if necessary, immediately reported to you or the relevant supervisory authority, including the respective affected data categories.
Storage of Data
We will not store data for longer than is necessary to fulfill our contractual or legal obligations and to ward off possible liability claims.

Cookies
This website uses cookies to make our website more user-friendly, effective and safer.
A “cookie” is a small text file that we send via our web server to the hard disk of your computer. This enables our website to recognize you as a user when a connection is established between our web server and your browser. Cookies help us to determine the frequency of use and the number of users of our website. The content of the cookies we use is limited to an identification number that does not allow us to identify the user. The main purpose of a cookie is to recognize the visitors to the website.
Two types of cookies are used on this website:
- Session cookies: These are temporary cookies that remain in the cookie file of your browser until you leave our website and are automatically deleted at the end of your visit.
- Permanent cookies: For improved user-friendliness, cookies remain stored on your terminal device and allow us to recognize your browser the next time you visit.
You can set your browser so that you are informed about the cookie settings and allow cookies only on a case by case basis, exclude the acceptance of cookies for specific cases or in general and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If you deactivate cookies, the functionality of this website may be limited.
Server log files
In order to optimize this website in terms of system performance, user-friendliness and the provision of useful information about our services, the provider of the website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. This includes your Internet Protocol address (IP address), browser and language settings, operating system, referrer URL, your Internet service provider and date/time.
This data is not merged with personal data sources. We reserve the right to subsequently check this data if we become aware of concrete indications of illegal use.
Notes on data processing in connection with Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Ireland Limited. If the person responsible for data processing on this website is located outside the European Economic Area or Switzerland, Google Analytics data processing is carried out by Google LLC. Google LLC and Google Ireland Limited are hereinafter referred to as “Google”.
Google Analytics uses cookies. The information generated by the cookies about the use of the website by the visitor (including the abbreviated IP address) is usually transferred to a Google server and stored there.
Google Analytics is only used with the extension “_anonymizeIp()” on this website. This extension ensures that the IP address is made anonymous by shortening it and excludes the possibility of direct personal reference. The extension shortens the IP address of Google within Member States of the European Union or in other states which are party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The IP address transmitted by the corresponding browser within the scope of Google Analytics is not combined with other data held by Google.
On behalf of the site operator, Google will use the information collected to evaluate the use of the website, to compile reports on the website activities and to provide further services to the site operator in connection with the use of the website and the Internet (Art. 6 para. 1(f) GDPR). The legitimate interest in the data processing lies in the optimization of this website, the analysis of the use of the website and the adaptation of its content. The interests of the users are sufficiently protected by the pseudonymization.
Google LLC is certified according to Privacy Shield (see list entry here) and guarantees on this basis an adequate level of data protection. The data sent and linked to cookies, user IDs (e.g. user ID) or advertising IDs are automatically deleted after fifty (50) months. Data that has reached its retention period is automatically deleted once a month.
The collection of data by Google Analytics can be prevented by adjusting the cookie settings for this website. The collection and storage of the IP address and the data generated by cookies can also be refused at any time with effect for the future. The corresponding browser-plugin can be downloaded and installed under the following link.
