Hrvoje Kurelec

Of Counsel

Hrvoje has extensive experience in international arbitration and public international law matters, in particular investor-state dispute settlement. He has acted as counsel in arbitration disputes conducted under various institutional arbitration rules (ICSID, ICC, VIAC and SCC) across a wide range of sectors, inter alia energy, construction and mining.

Hrvoje started his career at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Croatia and he also worked as a legal advisor to the Croatian Parliament.

Prior to joining AKG ADVISORY, Hrvoje was part of the arbitration and litigation practice groups of leading law firms in Croatia, France, and Austria, where he advised States and international corporations. Hrvoje is a member of the Croatian Bar Association. Hrvoje is also a recurring guest lecturer at the University of Zagreb’s Law School (Chair of Civil Procedure Law), teaching a practical course on Civil Procedure Law.
